An Innovation for Green Caustic Soda Production Technology

You need a reliable primary brine refinery system !

Chlor-alkali industry is a method of using purified brine to produce chlorine and caustic soda.

It is one of the most basic chemical industry. Its products are widely used in light industry, textile industry, metallurgical industry, petrochemical industry and utilities.

Most of the modern chlor alkali plants are using advanced Ionic membrane electrolyzer technology. It’s high efficiency and power saving. However, it needs high quality brine from resin tower.

CRBR PRESENTATION

CRBR(Ceramic Membrane Brine Refining) system is a newly developed technology for primary brine purificaiton by Cross-flow Filtration in chlor-alkali industry, which is an innovation process , replacing the traditional Dorr Clarifier and Sintered carbon filter.

CRBR can ensure a reliable and high quality primary brine :

SS<0.5mg/L

NTU<1.0

[Ca++] + [Mg++]<0.5 mg/L

CRBR system has been widely applied in many Chlor-alkali plants around the world, providing a very pure brine for the electrolyzer. CRBR have also been applied in salt refining process.

The key part of  CRBR system is CRM ceramic membrane produced by TFT, which is made of α-alumina and titanium oxide . The membrane has an uniformly distributed and nanometer pore. It rejects the solid content such as calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and other particles, giving a qualified purity brine for your resin towers and electrolyzers.

CRMTM Inorganic membrane is a porous fine ceramic filter which is sintered from Alumina or Titania, Zirconia under ultra-high temperature. Ceramic membranes normally have an asymmetrical structure with porous support active membrane layer. The macro porous support ensures the mechanical resistance while the active layer functions separation ranging from microfiltration, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration (from 10μm down to 1KD).

Ceramic Membrane always runs at a crossflow mode. The crude brine goes through membrane layer inside the channel at a high velocity. Driven by TransMembrane Pressure(TMP), the clean brine with NaCl  pass through the membrane layer vertically to permeation, the suspend solid like CaCO3/Mg(OH)2/Mud  is rejected in retentate.
